Edinburgh´s Regional Meeting was a success


The 2nd Regional Meeting was celebrated on 7th and 8th of September at the General Teaching Council for Scotland facilities in Edinburgh.

Two days of presentations and debates allowed us to prepare the final version of the New Education Forum to be presented at European Parliament in Brussels.

Raising the awareness of Skills in life long learning and improve the promotion of VET were the two main conclusions.

Mr Mike Russell from the Scottish government and Mr Ken Muir from the General Teaching Council gave a very worm welcoming to the participants of this Regional Meeting.

On 31st of October as a consequence of the developing of the cooperation between the Center for Innovative Education and Scottish Institutions, Mr Jorge Gimeno, CEO of the Center, will take part on the presentation event of the Skills Hub in Aberdeen. CIE received an official proposition to be part of such an important initiative.


Meeting of experts in education and innovation – Berlin 10 and 11 October

On 10 and 11 October the Center for Educational Innovation organized with the University of Indiana workshops in Berlin. The objective is to prepare a sketch of recommendations for Tibor Navracsis, European Commissioner for Education, Culture, Youth and Sports; Marianne Thyssen, European Commissioner for Employment, Social Affairs and Inclusion and Jiry Katainen, European Commissioner for Employment, Growth, Investment and Competitiveness.

The recommendations for action against youth unemployment in member countries of the European Union are divided into 4 groups concerning parents, youth, employers and teachers.

On 17 and 18 November in Brussels the final draft recommendations will be presented, taking place on November 17 last expert meeting.

Center for Innovative Education is now a member of Knowledge 4 Innovation

We are very happy and excited to announced that from june 2016 Center for Innovative Education is a member of Knowledge 4 Innovation Association. This is another step in the development of innovative education solutions and policies around European Union.

Thanks to this membership Center for Innovative Education will have direct access to political members, companies, ngo’s and academics institutions whom have a common goal, improve and develop level of innovation in European Union as a key tool to keep high level of competitiveness.

In the other hand Knowledge 4 Innovation will count with our knowledge and partnerships and also with all the achievements that our main program Konkordia had have don since 2010.

The first big success of this new alliance is the inclusion of New Education Forum (Brussels 17-18.11) in the agenda of 8th European Summit of Innovation (Brussels 14-17.11)
We all strongly believe in the  synergies coming from both of our institutions and in the huge potential of our networks working together.
